About
Hugo Herrera
Lead Solutions Architect
Designing Microsoft Agentic AI and Dynamics 365 systems for enterprise scale. Recovering programmes when they have stalled.
Based in Denmark. Working worldwide. Two-edition published author of the Microsoft Power Platform Solutions Architect’s Handbook.

The work
Fifteen years in the field, not above it
Two threads run through the work. The first is Dynamics 365 Contact Centre at national and worldwide scale, where the architecture has to hold up against real call volumes, live integrations and the operations teams that run it day to day. The second is agentic AI on the Microsoft stack: Azure AI Foundry, the Microsoft Agent Framework, Copilot Studio, and the orchestration that ties them to enterprise data.
Both threads converge in Project Recovery: the engagement Hugo is best known for — coming in when a Microsoft AI or Dynamics 365 programme has stalled and getting it back on track. Most engagements start with a short discovery and continue as a fractional architecture role inside the delivery team.

Writing & teaching
Teaching the work, not just doing it
Author of the Microsoft Power Platform Solutions Architect’s Handbook, published by Packt in two editions (2022, 2025) and used by consultancies and enterprise teams as a working reference and for PL-600 preparation.
Lectures, speaks at conferences, and runs PL-600 and AB-100 bootcamps for consultancy teams. Teaching keeps the thinking sharp: it is hard to explain an architecture clearly if you do not really understand why it is the way it is.
Beyond client work
OnDynamics Labs
Two research projects, on Hugo’s own time and infrastructure, so the patterns brought to an enterprise programme have been stress-tested somewhere safe to break things first.

Project EVE
A research project into self-evolving multi-agent systems on the Microsoft stack — the place orchestration and evaluation patterns are tested before they reach a client.

Project Blue Sky
A research project exploring agentic AI for everyday life — a personal chief of staff that coordinates a team of specialist agents around a person’s goals and commitments.
Let’s talk about your programme
If any of this sounds like the help you need, I would be glad to hear what you are working on. There is no obligation in the first conversation.
